To kick-off 2021, the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce will host Family Movie Night on Siesta Beach not once, but twice.
On Saturday, January 16 the Chamber will be showing Frozen II. On Saturday, January 30 The Lego Batman Movie will be featured.
Frozen II is a 2019 animated production from Disney. The movie is Rated PG with a runtime of 1 hour, 43 minutes. (Local tip: Dress warm. Siesta’s 99% pure quartz sand doesn’t freeze but it will be cool.)
Rated PG, The Lego Batman Movie is a 2017 computer-animated superhero film. The 1-hour, 44-minute action, comedy is a Warner Brothers production.
Reserved, socially-distanced beach seating will open at 5:30 p.m. Both movies start at 6:30 p.m. These are free events but advance registration is required through the Events Calendar on the Chamber’s website, siestakeychamber.com. The reserved seating area is limited to the first 200 registrants.
Ample free parking available in the public beach lot at 948 Beach Road on Siesta Key.
Families are encouraged to bring blankets or beach chairs. Tents are not permitted in the seating area. Siesta Beach Concessions will be open until 7:00 p.m. Arrive early and enjoy dinner and sunset on the beach.
The Chamber has planned for ample social distancing procedures. In case of inclement weather movies will be rescheduled if possible.
