As summer returns to our shores, so does the vibrant energy that makes Siesta Key truly shine. Our beaches are buzzing, local businesses are thriving, and the sense of community is stronger than ever. June marks not only a time of seasonal renewal but also an exciting new chapter for the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce.
In the spirit of fresh perspectives and forward momentum, I am thrilled to share some exciting news about a new leader joining our Chamber family – a visionary who will help shape the future of our organization and our community. We’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our leadership team – our new CEO, Sarah Firstenberger.
Sarah joins us with an impressive background in marketing, events, and community engagement, and a passion for connecting people, places, and purpose. A Sarasota local, Sarah brings more than a decade of experience in audience engagement and experiential programming, most recently serving as Director of Marketing and Events at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. There, she developed strategic marketing campaigns to communicate the Foundation’s impact across diverse audiences and produced engaging events designed to deepen connections with community partners and donors.
Prior to that, Sarah made a name for herself as Executive Director of the Sarasota-Manatee Originals, where she elevated local tourism and dining experiences through beloved events like the Forks & Corks Food & Wine Festival and introduced new, unique initiatives to showcase the organization’s members. She’s a creative powerhouse with a deep understanding of what makes our community shine, and how to share that story with the world.
With skills in strategic planning, digital marketing, public relations, and event leadership, Sarah is uniquely equipped to guide the Siesta Key Chamber into an exciting new chapter. Her vision? To grow our visibility, amplify member voices, and foster even stronger connections across our vibrant island community.
“I’m honored to step into this role and serve a place I love so deeply,” Sarah shared. “Siesta Key is not just a destination – it’s a way of life. I look forward to working with our members, partners, and residents to ensure the Chamber continues to thrive and evolve with purpose.”
Please join us in giving Sarah the warmest Siesta Key welcome. We can’t wait to see where this season of growth takes us.
