Couples can say "I do" again on the white sands of Siest Key this Valentine's Day. More than 300 couples took part in last year's vow-renewal ceremony on Siesta Public Beach. Couples must register by February 12, for this year's event, and the fee is $5 per couple. At the sunset ceremony, they will renew their vows before Judge Becky Titus. Ed Hurst, will also cover leader construction, fly selection and saltwater fly fishing techniques. The course, designed for beginning and intermediate fly casters, will focus on basics but also work with intermediate casters on correcting faults and improving casting skills. The Sarasota chapter of Coastal Conservation Association will host their 15th annual Photo All-Release Challenge fishing tournament on April 23rd and 24th, 2010. This year's tournament headquarters will be at the Potter Building at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds. There will be a mandatory angler meeting on Friday evening, April 23rd at the Potter Building. East End Volley Ball tournaments will be held at Siesta Key on March 6-7 and Oct. 16-17. The March event will be a qualifier event for the $8,000 Big Shot Championships to be held at Bally's Casino in Atlantic City Aug. 28-29.
