FridayFest, the free outdoor summertime music series and celebration set along the bayfront of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, tunes up for an eclectic season of Caribbean, Salsa, Rock, Oldies and Country music from top Gulfcoast bands. Guests are invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Local vendors offer food and beverages. Outside food is prohibited, along with coolers and weapons of any kind. FridayFest runs rain or shine. Start the Holiday Season off right! Come to the village and get in the holiday spirit. Fun for the entire family The Siesta Village Holiday Stroll & Open House will be located at the Siesta Center (across from Michael Saunders).

Couples can say "I do" again on the white sands of Siest Key this Valentine's Day. More than 300 couples took part in last year's vow-renewal ceremony on Siesta Public Beach. Couples must register by February 12, for this year's event, and the fee is $2 per couple. At the sunset ceremony, they will renew their vows before Judge Becky Titus. The County has hosted the annual ceremony for 18 years, and the event continues to grow. Couples may register online at : http://www.parksonline.scgov.net or by Calling (941) 861-7275

Each child receives and Easter Bunny and finds Easter Eggs stuffed with prizes. Face painters and storytellers will be there and opportunities to ride the trolley, tour the Siesta Key ambulance and fire truck and participate in other fun family entertainment. Free fire hats and Sheriff Dept. fingerprinting kits also available. 
 

Pine Shores Presbyterian Church will be hosting the 53nd Annual Sunrise Service Sunday April 12 6:30 am - 7:30 am. at Siesta Key Beach near the pavillion. Included in this very moving worship experience will be readings and explanation of the Word by Co-Pastors Bruce and Karen Wismer along with a full choir. Worshippers from all over the area are welcome to attend and are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

The annual event is held on Siesta Key Public Beach, children and adults can compete in this free event for cash prizes for the first, second, and third place in each category. Registration at 8:30 am Contest begins: 9:00 am. Categories are: Adult - Humorous, Adult - Miscellaneous, Children - 10 years and younger, Children 11-17 years of age. Sponsored by Sarasota County Parks and recreation and the Pelican Press.
