The Children's Garden Fifth Annual Halloween Spooktacular Celebration

Fall Fly Fishing Challenge
The Mangrove Coast Fly Fishers and Sarasota Chapter of the Coastal Conservation will hold the fourth annual Fall Fly Fishing Challenge on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 out of the Ken Thompson Park boat ramp on City Island in Sarasota. 11th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run
The 11th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run, sponsored by the Sarasota Florida HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter, Admission: 10.00 if you pre-register ($15 the day of the event) & a stuffed animal for charity This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food & fun. Sarasota Holiday Parade
Sarasota Holiday Parade Main Street, Sarasota Florida The Sarasota Holiday Parade takes place in downtown Sarasota. Parade viewers are welcome to bring blankets to toss over the curbside to sit on and lawn chairs as well. Parking is available downtown on streets and in lots other than those closed for the parade route. It’s best to arrive about an hour early to find parking and a nice spot along the parade route from which to view the festivities.

Say I Do Again
Couples can say "I do" again on the white sands of Siest Key this Valentine's Day. More than 300 couples took part in last year's vow-renewal ceremony on Siesta Public Beach. Couples must register by February 12, for this year's event, and the fee is $2 per couple. At the sunset ceremony, they will renew their vows before Judge Becky Titus.
