14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Games - April 19, 2014

From: 9:00AM to 11:30AM

Easter Critters For Children Ages 1-6. Each child receives an Easter Stuffed Animal and an Easter Egg Hunt Goody Bag stuffed with prizes. Face painters will be there and opportunities to ride the trolley, tour the Siesta Key ambulance and fire truck and participate in other fun family entertainment. The artists will line Ocean Boulevard with their professional display booths while the crafters will display their unique and affordable crafts throughout Siesta Key Village for a sidewalk craft fair. All artists and crafters will be present for the duration of the show, available to discuss their work and inspiration. Ocean Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at Ocean and Canal and running through to Beach Road. The event appeals to people of all ages including serious art buyers looking to add to their collections.

42nd Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest May 03, 2014

Join us for the 42nd Annual Sand Sculpture Contest at Siesta Beach. Children and adults compete in various categories for cash prizes. This free event is co-sponsored by Sarasota County and the Observer Media Group. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with sculpting lasting until 1 p.m. Prizes awarded for the best sculptures in categories including People's Choice. The Porch Light 5k and Run. Rescue. Restore is more than just a race. It is a way to answer a need by coming together as a community to support a great cause. This participant-friendly 5k and 1-mile event on Siesta Key Beach supports a program to rescue and restore child victims of the sex trafficking trade.
